During our time at the abandoned Pennsylvania SCI (State Correctional Institution) Cresson prison facility, I spent a little time exploring the underground tunnels by myself. No electricity, so my flashlight was the only light source. Just a little creepy.
Tunnel of Trees
MJ and I are supposed to be in Bermuda…..but COVID messed that up, like it messed up all of 2020. So, we decided to get away regardless…. Pure Michigan it is!! We traveled the Lake Michigan coast. This photo is from inside the Tunnel of Trees which is north of Harbor Springs.

Tunnel Exit
Exiting the Fort Pitt Tunnel gives you one of the best instant city views I’ve ever found. You immediately get an amazing view of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, this photo doesn’t really do it justice….

Steelers' Intro
I realize the Steelers’ season is over and this video should have been posted long ago… But I’m just catching up on my football photo and video editing. Plus, I was having some weird video driver problem on my computer which stopped me from getting it edited. Thankfully, my Geek Squad guy (Blair) spent an hour last night and fixed my PC. Big thanks to him for helping me with this. I’m sure it was the last thing he wanted to do on a Saturday night.
As you know, I’m not usually a video guy…. I almost focus entirely on still photography, but over the last year I’ve done more video with my phone and drone then I probably did in my entire life combined up to that point. The drone has been the major influence toward video.
I shot this video before the last game of the year. When the players are running out of the tunnel, Heinz Field security forces the photographers to lay down on the ground. Who knows why??? So, I was taking photos with my camera and taking this video at the same time. As you can tell, I’m not a video editing expert. Heck, I can barely do video editing at all… But I did manage to get this one done.
Funky Tunnel
I didn’t know what to call this photo. I like it of course. It’s a little artsy, a little different and maybe a little weird. How would you describe it?
I took this inside the Carrie Furnace during our photo walk there with a group of friends. Click HERE to read more information on this site from one of my prior post.

Tunnel Of Light
Tunnel Of Love??
I doubt it, but people love to paint graffiti on it. This is another picture from our
excursion to the Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike. I don’t know what it is about this picture, but I like it
more then I should.
Photo Technique:
This is a 7 exposure auto-bracketed HDR image. I merged the photos together using Photomatix Pro and edited it in Photoshop CS6.
More Abandoned Turnpike
Tonight’s photo is another one from my exploration of the
abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike.
This is the entrance to one of the tunnels.
