I honestly can’t remember where within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone I took this photo. I think it was inside a factory building, but I’m not sure. Regardless, after I finished processing this a couple of days ago, I knew I had to post it. I loved how simple and powerful this scene is within the photo. I liked the shadows, the single push cart in the room, etc….

I love the shadows in this photo. We were walking around this abandoned children’s camp outside of Chernobyl. It had all these little cabins (maybe 20 of them) with cute murals painted on them. As we were walking back along the path towards our bus, this scene unfolded in front of me…… I had my camera all packed up and had to get it back out to capture this moment. I’m glad I did!!!

Blair and I had a great morning in prison today. We got an opportunity to explore and photograph an abandoned Pennsylvania prison. They’re getting ready to convert the site into a veteran’s center. I am thankful to Bob for thinking about us and getting us access. Good times…..

This is a photo from our Sedona trip last spring. We went on a sunrise hot air balloon ride. I liked the shadow of our balloon on the side of a Sedona mountain.

At the risk of boring you, I am posting the 3rd photo in a row from the Sedona Arizona trip. On our 2nd day in Sedona, we got up very early to enjoy a sunrise hot air balloon ride through the mountains. It was an amazing experience and I liked this photo of our balloon’s shadow as we got down toward the ground at one point in our trip. At times the sound of the balloon inflator (I have no idea if that’s the correct term for that) would scare animals out from under the bushes.

Not only was it a great experience, but it was even better because we got to spend it with our close friends (Kris & Scott).
