It’s so cold in Pittsburgh right now, it could be Iceland. Here are a few photos from our last Iceland trip. I captured these at the glacier lagoon and diamond beach.
Iceland Glacier Watershed
MJ and I traveled 30 minutes down a gravel road to see a glacier lagoon in this northwest area of Iceland only to find out climate change had eliminated it. The glacier has retreated up the mountain, but the runoff from the melting glacier continues to feed this area, which makes for interesting photos.
Icebergs in Iceland
Both of our trips to Iceland were amazing. I don’t know if there will be a third, but I’m hoping someday.
I took this photo near Diamond Beach, inside Jokulsarlon Iceberg Lagoon on the southeastern coast of the country. Wonderful spot.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
I’m sure on Super Bowl Sunday my post should be football related. But I’ve been thinking a bunch about our 2021 Iceland trip. So, you’re getting this photo from the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon on the southeastern side of the country. Great spot!!
Iceland's Blue Lagoon
For Thanksgiving this year, I’m grateful for my family (by blood, marriage and great friends who I consider family…you know who you are) and this year’s experiences.
Here is an aerial photo from our Iceland trip last summer. This is the famous Iceland Blue Lagoon from a perspective that most people never see.
Ocean and Lagoon
It was chilly in my area this weekend, which makes we wish for either warmer weather or a trip to a warm weather spot. As I scrolled through photos looking for something to post, I had that in my head. Therefore, you’re getting this photo I took from the Bahamas. This was a great spot to spend the day, with the Caribbean Sea on one side and a beautiful lagoon on the other.

Still Dreaming About Mexico
We had a great trip to Mexico last fall and I still haven’t gotten through all my pictures, but I am very happy with a ton of them. I keep finding great pictures that I forgot I even took. As I page through them, it makes me want to return and gets me day dreaming about our wonderful experiences. Thankfully, we have another trip scheduled soon to a warm weather destination. I am so ready………………. Until that trip, I have a photo walk scheduled tomorrow night with a few friends to capture some images of downtown Pittsburgh all lit up with holiday lights.
