GW In The Sky
I got out last night attempting to capture the sunset with my drone in downtown Washington PA. After the sun dropped below the horizon, I captured this great image of the George Washington statute on top of the Washington County Courthouse. Love that sky!!

Masked W&J
W&J is short for Washington and Jefferson College, which is a few miles from home. I passed by it Friday on my way to the Post Office and saw this scene. So, I turned around to go capture this photo, which clearly demonstrates the terrible times we’re all dealing with.

GW Statue
Blair and I got out yesterday for some adventure. I’ve been wanting to get this photo for a long time. Based on where this sits on top of the dome above the Washington County Court House. My new toy, helped me capture it.

Winn vs. Davis
You can tell it is football season. Four of my last five photos (including this post) are football pictures. This one is from last Friday’s preseason game between the Steelers and the Lions. This photo features two guys fighting to get a spot on their team roster. George Winn is fighting to get a spot as a Runningback on the Lions team, while Sean Davis is working to get a Safety spot with the Steelers. I’m wishing them both good luck with their quest.

George Washington Hotel Lobby
This hotel was built in 1923 and designed by famous architect
William Lee Stoddart. Presidents
JFK and Harry S. Truman have stayed at the hotel in the past. There have been a number of music and
movie stars who have stayed at the hotel over the years. Interestingly, the horror film New
Terminal Hotel starring Corey Haim (if you can call him a star), was filmed
here. In 2010, local firefighters
discovered what they thought was the most grisly murder in Washington in over
35 years. About 8 hours was spent
investigating before authorities discovered it was leftover from the film.

recent photos to be used as wallpaper for Apple iPhones. All you have to do is download them and

George Washington:
I have a patriotic HDR photo for you in today’s post. This is a picture of the George Washington statue on top of the Washington County Pennsylvania Court House. This structure was built in 1900 and they just completed a two-year restoration of the interior. The building is still an active (and only) courthouse for Washington County.
This was a 7-exposure bracket merged into one HDR photo.
