Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery

MJ and I visited this nice winery last October.  That was probably the trip where we bot got COVID.  Fortunately, we ended up okay, but I know 600k+ individuals across the United States (any many more across the world) didn’t make it.  My heart goes out to all those families.

Back to the winery…they have a beautiful setting, nice facility and great wine.  I captured these rows of grapes as we were driving away.

Outer Exclusion Zone

I don’t know what this building was for exactly.  This was on a farm in the outer regions of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.  I climbed the partial staircase on the right side of the building (probably not my smartest moment) only to find birds have taken over that room with all the broken windows…..

Aletta's Goat Farm

During our time in Bonaire, we visited Aletta’s Goat Farm.  We had a great time interacting with Aletta and her goats.  I’d recommend this spot for all the animal lovers in your group.

During our time in Bonaire, we saw goats, donkeys, lizards (Iguanas and others), birds (Pink Flamingos, Crested Caracara, etc..) turtles (land and sea), cats, dogs, and all kinds of aquatic creatures.

Don’t forget to watch the video below.

Pennsylvania Farm Sunrise

There are times when I love being a landscape photographer and there are times when it isn’t so fun…..like this morning when I got out of bed before 5am to photograph this lake.  Getting out of bed was the terrible part.  Once I got in the car and started the drive, I got excited about how cool this photo was going to look.  Plus there is something so cool about being in an awesome spot watching the sun come up.  When we’re on vacation, I’ll get up numerous times to watch the sunrise.

Anyway, this farm belongs to my co-workers’ family outside of Washington PA.  They have the largest man-made pond/lake I’ve seen in Pennsylvania.  It is massive!!  He asked me to photograph some of the farm for them and we went out there after work last week.  Once I saw that lake, I knew immediately that I had to come back for a sunrise photo.  So I paid the price and captured this wonderful photo.
