MJ and I had a wonderful ten minutes watching this guy during a safari in Swaziland (now called Eswatini). He didn’t want to move from the road, so we just sat in the truck watching him do whatever he wanted.
Bull Elephant
Geez, I miss travel. Well, I miss everything that used to be normal. This Bull Elephant posed for us inside Kruger National Park (South Africa) during one of our safaris. He stood on the road looking at us, making noise, flapping his ears, and looking tough. I think this was in October of 2017….seems like two decades ago!!
African Bull
I honestly don’t remember if this is a male bull or a female African Elephant. I’m 90% sure this was a bull. Regardless, I took this photo during a safari with MJ in Kruger National Park South Africa.

The Herd
Looking through my feed, I noticed I haven’t posted any animal photos recently. That got me thinking about our trip to South Africa, which lead me to this photo. This was one of those magical moments that’s hard to explain. This herd of elephants came down over the hill to drink and play in this river. We sat there for a long time just watching the fun. Just….well magical.

African Elephant
I don’t’ know what to say on the blog tonight. I selected this photo I took on our trip to South Africa. I love the photo and the memories that go with it….watching this truly wild animal in his environment…. So I’ll just leave it at that.

Dumbo
I hope you’re having a great weekend. It’s been about six weeks since I posted a photo from South Africa. And we both know, I still have tons of photos from that trip. So, I’ll just drop one on you from time to time. Tonight’s photo is of a huge beautiful guy that entertained us for about 30 minutes.

Smithsonian
I’ve been to Washington DC a number of times, maybe more than 20 times over the course of fifteen years. During all those visits, I’ve never had the chance to visit any of the Smithsonian museums until our trip last August. MJ and I went to visit a couple of friends and she took me to the museums (she’s been before without me). I liked them all. I took this photo inside the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. If you’ve never visited these museums, put them on your “To Do” list.

Big Guy
This guy blocked the road for probably 10 minutes forcing us to wait while he completed his business. Our driver tried to get him to move, but he wasn’t taking the hint. So we just waited, took a ton of photos and enjoyed the show. It’s hard to believe South Africa was a year ago…..how did that happen??

African Elephant
I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready for the weekend to be over. I need to figure out how to be on permanent vacation. I think the word for it is “retirement” and I’m not even close to that point yet. So I’ll just have to get my head back into the game. In the meantime, I’ll use this photo I took in South Africa to help get me there.

The Look
MJ and I ran into this guy while on safari in southeast South Africa. As you’ve read before, we had a wonderful trip to South Africa with dozens of great animal experiences. This guy looks tough, but he didn’t threaten us or anything. And He allowed me to capture his portrait. Handsome looking dude…don’t you think?

Mammoth
I couldn’t think of a clever title for this photo. So I went with what came to mind, which I admit isn’t interesting. And yes, you guessed it… I’m posting another African animal to make MJ happy. We came upon this young guy in Kruger National Park in South Africa. He was with another older male guy. Sort of traveling together. They came within 20 feet of us and just went about their business. We sat there in our safari vehicle for a while just watching them. It was a very peaceful period and a moment I won’t easily forget.

Elephant Parade
MJ has been on me for a few weeks to post this photo. This was one of many magical moments we had in South Africa. This group of elephants walked down this hill and put on a show on for us. It was great watching them drink and play in this river.

Elephant Ear
I didn’t know what to call this photo and MJ didn’t help… She just laughed at me. Anyway, here is another photo from South Africa’s Kruger National Park. Did I tell you how awesome South Africa was? If not, just shame on me. It was outstanding. Today’s photo is an Africa Elephant from one of our safaris. Have a great Sunday.

Hide And Seek
I’m super tired tonight. So I’ll keep this short. Tonight’s photo is another from our South Africa trip. I took this in Kruger National Park. This guy was fairly close to use, but he kept playing hide and seek behind a big bush.

Elephant Octopus
The Wynwood Walls area of Miami is so cool. As you know from my past picture of this area, the city converted this abandoned area into an artist display exhibit. There are now a ton of amazing murals created by the best graffiti artists in the world. They rotate topnotch artists so that it is always changing. If you visit it again down the road, the murals (graffiti) will be changed.
