Here is a drone photo I took a couple of years ago while the Carnival Glory was docked in Jamaica. I love the color of the Caribbean Sea.
Mardi Gras Sunrise
I took this photo at the stern of the Carnival Mardi Gras right underneath the roller coaster… (as you can guess by the title of this post) at sunrise. I love how all the different colors in this photo play with your eyes. I think it works in a weird way. I don’t think you’d walk past this spot normally and think “photo spot”. But on this morning, it caught my attention.
Panama Canal
Here is a series of photos I took a few years ago while travel through the Panama Canal on a ship. It is an exciting and boring experience all at the same time. You can tell by the photos below, it takes awhile to travel through the canal…we started around noon and it was dark towards the end.
Mardi Gras Conference Room
Why don’t I have a conference like this at work? Probably because I don’t work on a cruise ship…. But I liked this set up and the interior designer has my respect. This room is used as a universal space outside the main dining room on the Carnival Mardi Gras
CCL Mardi Gras
Here is another photo from our time on the Carnival Mardi Gras. As you can tell, I captured this at sunrise. Just me and a lone swimmer.
Dream On The Move
During our last cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras, I had an opportunity to get some drone footage and photos of the Carnival Dream while it was coming into port. I don’t know if the ship knew I was flying around it with the drone, but I got some great content. Here is a photo I took when I was done and the ship was sailing away from me.
Purple Vibes
Here is another photo from the Carnival Mardi Gras. Many of the common spaces had these color changing light panels. So, the environment changed colors all the time. I’d often take multiple photos of the same spot as the color would change over and over. I decided to share this purple version with you since MJ’s favorite color is purple. I also really liked this space and we had cocktails in this location a few times.
CCL Glory
I’m so ready to get back to normal or at least as close to “normal” as we can. For us, that means getting back on a cruise boat. You can help by getting fully vaccinated against COVID, if you haven’t already. If you’re already fully vaccinated, thank you very much.
I captured this via my drone right before the pandemic started.
Danube River Cruising
Here is the Gate 1 Travel river cruise boat called Monarch Princess sitting in the Danube River at Regensburg Germany.
Splendor
Here is an interior architecture photo for you that looks a little abstract/contemporary. This is the upper floors of the Carnival Splendor looking out at the elevators and open atrium over the lobby. I liked the colors, patterns, textures and abstract feel of this scene.
Carnival Glory in Jamaica
Here is a video of the Carnival Glory docked in Jamaica captured via my drone. I captured this footage in early 2020 just before COVID hit the United States…. We probably got lucky we were not trapped on the ship when we returned to New Orleans.
Glory in Port
Travel, travel, travel……. As I’ve said before, I’m ready to start traveling again. But like most people, I’m not traveling to make sure I don’t potentially infect anyone and that they don’t infect me or my family. Plus I’m not sure any country would accept America travelers right now anyway…..
So again, here is a photo from a past trip. I took this photo of the Carnival Glory in February while it was docked in Jamaica.

Glory in Aruba
In Aruba, MJ and I took a sunset sailboat ride. I captured this photo of the Carnival Glory as we returned to port.

Montego Bay
We had a great time sailing and snorkeling around Montego Bay, Jamaica. We didn’t see much of the rest of the island, but this spot was great. I captured the Carnival Glory in the marina with my drone before we left for the next stop.

Carnival Sunset
I honestly can’t remember which Carnival Cruise ship this photo is from. That’s just sad if I say so myself. Regardless, I’ve taken this photo, or a version of it, on numerous Carnival cruises in the past. It is an easy composition, love setting and easy to capture. Plus it always makes me happy.

Vista Lobby
How about this resort lobby? Admittedly, this isn’t a typical hotel lobby. In fact, it isn’t a “hotel” at all. This is the lobby of the Carnival Vista cruise ship, which is a floating hotel/resort. We were on its maiden voyage and I took this on day two. Pretty cool spot!!

Carnival Sushi Bar
I hope you’ve gotten over the holiday madness and are getting back to your routine. I know I’ve already slipped back to normal daily routines.
Today’s photo is from one of the Carnival Cruise ships. I honestly can’t remember which one. This was the Sushi Bar on the Promenade Deck. I loved the colors and small architectural details.

Splendor's Theater
I haven’t posted a Carnival Cruise ship photo lately. Therefore, I’m posting this photo I took inside the Carnival Splendor’s theater. Sometimes these theaters are over the top, but this one is just plain classy.

Eurodam
Anyone going on a cruise soon? Not me. At this point, our next booked cruise is a long way off. I took this photo of the Eurodam cruise ship in Kotor Montenegro after we left the Adriatic Sea. The Eurodam was docked next to our cruise ship. Sailing through the Adriatic Sea and the Mediterranean was a great cruise.

Carnival Sunrise
As you all know, we like our Carnival cruises. MJ and I try our best to get at least one of them in per year. And I always get up early at least one day per cruise to capture some sunrise photos and photos of the ship without fellow cruisers in the way. I always challenge myself to capture the sunrise photo in a different way so that the photos continue to be unique. Today’s photo is from our cruise last August. I think I got a unique perspective from the back of the ship. What do you think of this photo?
