Happy Holidays

From my family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season and happy new year.

At this time of year, I always go back to photos I took of this church many years ago with Brad and Dave.  I like them because they are rich, and they scream winter holidays.  But it’s also because I haven’t taken many holiday photos over the years.

PGH Tree

I hope everyone has a great holiday season.  Tomorrow in the United States, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving.  For most of us, that means eating turkey lunch/dinner, watching football on TV and taking naps.  If you’re not in the U.S., I hope you have a great week and weekend as well…

I took this photo of the holiday tree in downtown Pittsburgh.

Renegade

They play this at every Steelers home game usually in the 3rd quarter to get the crowd pumped up.  The video clips are changed every game, so the video portion is unique every time.  But the result is the same….

I captured this with my iPhone a few games ago.  I’m trying to capture some video this year mainly for my own memory purposes.  I realize the Steelers game access I’ve had for the last 8 years will end at some point.  So, I want to make sure I capture some of the non-live action game moments as well.

Chernobyl Bumper Cars

In the city of Pripyat (just outside the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant), we explored parts of the city center during our visit.  They were getting ready for a city festival that was scheduled to take place and then the nuclear accident happened.  As you can imagine, the city got evacuated and the festival never took place.  Over thirty years later the carnival rides are still there abandoned like everything else.  Ferris wheel, bumper cars, and other rides just rusting away….
