Cenote Scuba Diving

If you’re a scuba diver, I’d highly recommend diving some of the cenotes in Mexico.  Blair and I completed a couple of them on our last trip to Mexico.  I’ve also completed a number of cenote dives on prior trips.  Here are some photos from the recent dives.

Cancun Resport Via Drone

I must admit that I rarely watch videos online that last more then 30 seconds.  So, I don’t know how attractive this will be for you since it is well over 30 seconds long.  Regardless, here is a compilation of drone footage I took on our last trip to Cancun Mexico.  It took me months just to get around to editing the video, but here you go.

Early Morning

As I’ve said before, I often get up very early on vacation to photograph the location (resort, beach, ship, hotel, etc…) before the rest of the tourist wake up.  That was the case with this spot as well.  I wanted to capture this spot without anyone in the way.

This is from a resort north of Cancun Mexico from last February.

Mechanical Wonder

During our trip to Mexico we stayed at Grand Palladium Resort north of Cancun…I’ve mentioned this before.  Inside the resort, there are a number of restaurants, bars and stores all of which have a different theme/design.  One of them is a Café and deli, which was designed as a urban contemporary look that included this giant floor to ceiling mechanical clock.  This clock ran all kinds of pulleys and cables that helped other objects in the Café run/move.  In fact, the mannequin on the bike in the left corner of this photo was run by the clock.  His legs pumped the bike peddles that turned the wheels.  I liked the clock and the entire Café.

Sunrise Over The Beach

What can I say about this photo that is doesn’t say by itself?  Probably nothing!!!  Let’s just sit back and enjoy it. I took this photo, along with a bunch of others, with my drone flying back and forth low along the beach.  I love the colors and feel of it.

Blue Spot

This is the infinity pool at the Grand Palladium Resort north of Cancun Mexico.  I took this photo just after sunrise.  I was one of only a few people who climbed out of bed to see this beautiful scene.  What a great morning….  Can I please go back????

Beach Pool

This will be my 2nd post from Mexico in a row.  I usually mix them up a little.  I took this photo with my drone hovering over the bar looking down this extremely long pool towards the beach.  We had an okay sunrise that morning…but it was way better then the couple days of rain prior to this morning.  We spent many hours at this spot lounging in and out of the pool.  Good times at the Grand Palladium!!!

Grand Palladium

We stayed at this resort north of Cancun recently.  The resort is new, it just opened last October.  That meant that they were still working on some final touches and punch list items.  They also have big plans to expand the complex to a maximum of over 3,000 guest rooms.  It has a great beach unlike most of the resorts in this part of Mexico.  Anyway, we enjoyed it and had a great time with our group (some family and friends).

I took this photo one evening after dinner just outside the main lobby.  There are three of these weird sculptures in a row with small ponds surrounding them.

Caribbean Dream

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m ready for another visit to a site just like this.  For me, this is just around the corner and I can’t wait.  I plan to uber relax, get some scuba dives in and some great family time.  Soon!!!

By the way, this is a beach just south of Cancun.  To view a larger version, click HERE

Dream Spot

I don’t know about you, but I love being in and around water.  Pools, lakes, ponds, rivers, seas, oceans, etc…  I love them all.  This specific spot is from a resort south of Cancun in Mexico.  I got up super early to capture this sunrise photo.

Thanksgiving Day Blues

I have nothing to complain about and am very thankful for everything in my life.  That said, I can't help but be bummed as I watched the Detroit Lions lose their 9th straight Thanksgiving day game in a row on a terrible call that cost them a TD and lost opportunities.  I've enjoyed visiting with family, eating turkey and relaxing today.

So instead of being depressed about another Lions loss, I am going to think happy thoughts.  I'll reflect back on our trip to Mexico when I took this picture.  I captured some great sun rises on this trip and this picture is an example of what every morning looked like at our resort.
