Alaska Brown Bears

I’ve been editing photos from our Alaska trip.  Here are some bear photos I captured during one our many rainy excursions.

Alaska Brown Bear

I’m still recovering from our most recent trip, which was a cruise to Alaska.  At one of the stops (Icy Straight Point), we did a nature hike.  During the hike, we came upon this mama bear and her two cubs.  Great experience!!

Beside the hike, I also did a polar plunge at this spot with over 100 other tourists.

By the way…. Why am I still recovering?  Well, I came back straight into an extremely busy work schedule, plus having to catch up at work from being gone.

Indy Zoo – Polar Bear

Here is another great picture from the Indy Zoo.  We had a great time with our former neighbors hanging out that weekend.  And this bear was putting on a show for all the visitors.

Alaskan Brown Bear in Indiana

Last weekend we spent time in Indianapolis with some great friends hanging out, running a half marathon, eating great dinners, visiting the zoo and just laughing.  It was a great weekend and the Indy Zoo was nice.  We got a chance to meet this friendly guy.

P.S….we also got some nice quality time with my uncle, aunt, cousins, and 2nd cousins before we left Indy.  It was wonderful spending some time with all of them as well.

All Bears Today

Looking back at some photos from my trip to California, I came across this picture I took outside the Governor's office inside the capital building.  As it was explained to me, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger found this while on vacation and purchased it for the State of California.  It now sits outside the Governor's office.  The capital building is very cool and I was glad I took the time to tour it both inside and out.

fyi...  The employees at the capital building refer to this bear as "bacteria bear" because all the kids like to touch the bear.  It stands about waist high and is probably about 4 to 5 feet long.
