Up and down Miami Beach they have these amazing Art Deco Lifeguard shacks of all shapes and colors. I captured a bunch of photos as you can probably guess. I loved them all.
Private Party
While in Mexico, we ate at this seaside restaurant three times. During one of those visits, we got a chance to sit out here in this private area. It was a great spot to watch the sunset from while enjoying a great meal.
Playa Vibes
We had an amazing time in Playa del Carmen and I’m ready to go back right now. Here is a short video from our time there.
Miami's Big Ball
Sunrise from Miami Beach earlier this year. I loved all the different Art Deco designed lifeguard shacks up and down the beach.
Bonaire Fun
I so badly want to go back to Bonaire. Maybe someday, that’ll happen. I took this photo during our last visit to Lac Bay on this wonderful island.
Miami Beach Sunrise
I loved all the different Art Deco Lifeguard shacks along Miami Beach. Maybe the best Lifeguard shacks ever built.
Seafire From The Air
I’m not a very good video editor, sorry about that. Regardless, here is a collection of drone footage I captured during our last stay at this great resort (March 2020). We stayed there right before the pandemic hit the United States. It was our last trip before the world fell into crazy land. Thankfully things are moving in the right direction, let’s hope we can all get back to something close to normal by the end of 2021. Until then, enjoy the video.
Paradise
I miss traveling to wonderful spots around the world….. How about you? Let’s hope we can start to get out and about in late 2021. In the meantime, I keep using past photos as reminder of good times.
I took this drone photo on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman back in early 2020, right before the world got shut down. By the way, this specific resort is the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa.
Cross Village Beach
I love this photo. I love the sky, Lake Michigan water, the beach with the fallen trees, and just the mood of the photo. MJ and I explored this beach following lunch at the Old World Café (by the way, it’s a great restaurant) in Cross Village Michigan. This was our second visit to Cross Village this year. On our first visit, we didn’t drive down to the beach. I’m so glad we did on this 2nd visit.
Point Betsie
Here is another photo I took at Point Betsie Lighthouse in northern Michigan. You can see the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in the background. If you’ve never been to this area of Michigan, do yourself a favor and go.

Beach Pool
I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’m dreaming of future travel, which has me thinking about our past travel. Here is a photo looking down at the Kimpton Seafire Resort on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman.

Sorobon Beach
This is a great windsurf location in Bonaire. They do so much windsurfing here, there are rows of these sheds to hold the equipment.

Glory Dusk
Another short blog post for you tonight. Here is a photo I took on the Carnival Glory at dusk. I love the blue colors on the deck and the orange colors in the background just after sunset. This was also taken in Montego Bay Jamaica.

Colorful Chairs
When I pulled this photo up tonight before posting it, MJ said…”you don’t have colorful Easter eggs for them, but you have colorful chairs in that photo”. So I’m going with it!!
I took this photo on the east side of Bonaire at a Kite Surfing spot. The colors and textures caught my eye as we explored the area. Just looking at this photo, makes we want to go back. What an amazing country!! Everything about it is just beautiful.

Bonaire Summer Nights
What a great country!!! I want to go back right now. Can I pretty please??? Okay, I know I have adult things to do, so I’ll stop complaining now.
I took this photo a little after sunset on the beach in front of our resort. They started a fire on the beach a few minutes after I took this photos and people sat around it on those bean bag chairs you see in the lower right portion.

Salt Pier
What can I say about this beautiful spot that you can’t get just by looking at it???? Probably just the basics. This is the Cargill Salt Pier on Bonaire. This is one of the unique scuba diving sites on the island. We dove this a few times on our trip. The coral and sea life surrounding the pier legs was great. And the entire island was amazing, pretty, and just a divers dream.

Beach Pool
This will be my 2nd post from Mexico in a row. I usually mix them up a little. I took this photo with my drone hovering over the bar looking down this extremely long pool towards the beach. We had an okay sunrise that morning…but it was way better then the couple days of rain prior to this morning. We spent many hours at this spot lounging in and out of the pool. Good times at the Grand Palladium!!!

Ocean and Lagoon
It was chilly in my area this weekend, which makes we wish for either warmer weather or a trip to a warm weather spot. As I scrolled through photos looking for something to post, I had that in my head. Therefore, you’re getting this photo I took from the Bahamas. This was a great spot to spend the day, with the Caribbean Sea on one side and a beautiful lagoon on the other.

Bonaire Dreaming
I’m always continually amazed at how quickly time flies by. With that in mind, it’s hard to believe it has been over a month since we were in Bonaire. I want to go back. I loved this country. Just outstanding from every perspective. I’ve been dreaming about going back since the moment we left.
I don’t think I’ve ever shared a cell phone photo before, so this is a first. We went on a kayaking excursion towards the end of the week, so I didn’t take my camera. When we arrived at the kayaking launch spot, I found this massive drift wood. There was no way to pass this up without taking a photo, so I did with my phone. It’s not the best quality photo in the world, but I like it.

Magical Morning
I was fairly lazy on our last trip to Mexico, but I did get up one morning for the sunrise. Thankfully, I got an amazing show that morning. Here is one of many photos I took starting about an hour before sunrise going about 30 minutes past the sun coming up. As you can see, it was a magical morning.
