MJ and I visited this little pub in the village of Seydisfjordur Iceland. I loved this little town and would like to visit again, but next time I want to stay a little long.
Emeril's Bistro
I didn’t try any of the food or drinks at this spot, but the restaurant looks cool. This is located on the Carnival Mardi Gras.
Purple Vibes
Here is another photo from the Carnival Mardi Gras. Many of the common spaces had these color changing light panels. So, the environment changed colors all the time. I’d often take multiple photos of the same spot as the color would change over and over. I decided to share this purple version with you since MJ’s favorite color is purple. I also really liked this space and we had cocktails in this location a few times.
Mardi Gras Bar
MJ and I had a chance to experience the relatively new Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship. As you can imagine, it’s been a while since we’ve been on a cruise boat. Like my past practice, I got up very early one morning to photograph the ship while everyone else slept. This is one of many bars on the ship.
The Carlyle
I haven’t been posting much lately, I just need a little break. So, please hang in there with me for a little bit.
Anyway, here is a photo I took a couple months ago of The Carlyle in South Beach Miami.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Great Turtle Brewery
Sorry for the slight absence from my blog and social media. I needed a break and took it.
I took this photo of the Great Turtle Brewery bar on my last trip. This nice brewery sits on Mackinac Island Michigan. I’d suggest you check it out.

Havana Bar
This bar isn’t in Cuba…. This bar and restaurant is in downtown Kralendijk Bonaire. They have a great menu and outside dinning area. MJ and I have had dinner here twice on two different trips to Bonaire, but we’ve never been there for the nightlife. Apparently, after dark it turns into a hopping night club and is open all night. I haven’t experienced that portion of their business. This is what the bar area looks like before the party starts.

Mechanical Wonder
During our trip to Mexico we stayed at Grand Palladium Resort north of Cancun…I’ve mentioned this before. Inside the resort, there are a number of restaurants, bars and stores all of which have a different theme/design. One of them is a Café and deli, which was designed as a urban contemporary look that included this giant floor to ceiling mechanical clock. This clock ran all kinds of pulleys and cables that helped other objects in the Café run/move. In fact, the mannequin on the bike in the left corner of this photo was run by the clock. His legs pumped the bike peddles that turned the wheels. I liked the clock and the entire Café.

Carnival Sushi Bar
I hope you’ve gotten over the holiday madness and are getting back to your routine. I know I’ve already slipped back to normal daily routines.
Today’s photo is from one of the Carnival Cruise ships. I honestly can’t remember which one. This was the Sushi Bar on the Promenade Deck. I loved the colors and small architectural details.

Wine Bar
This is the wine bar and steak house on one of the Carnival Cruise ships. But I honestly, don’t remember which ship this is. How sad is that, when I can’t remember which ship this is? Anyone out there in the Internet world know?
Some of the spaces on these ships are so cool. The design, textures, colors and just how warm they feel is appealing to me. I can’t help but see the beauty in these spaces.

Elation Piano Bar
Here’s a silly photo for you. I took this on board the Carnival Elation cruise ship, within their piano bar. The entire bar is designed with a New York City theme and that includes this giant replica of the Statue of Liberty’s head. Sort of a weird thing to find in a bar, but it sort of worked!!

Blue Iguana Tequila Bar
I honestly don’t remember which Carnival Cruise ship this photo is from. I’ve had this photo sitting on my hard drive for a while just waiting to share it with you some day. Well, today is the day. Believe it or not, I didn’t have a drink at this spot. But I liked the looks and design of this spot.

RedFrog Pub
I’ve posted photos from this ship (Carnival Vista) in the past. It’s a great ship with amazing features. I loved the colors and design of this pub on the Promenade deck and spent a little time here. We were on board during the very first cruise that sailed around Europe.

Liquid Lounge
Yesterday’s post was of the Havana Bar inside the Carnival Vista. Today’s post is of the Liquid Lounge from the same ship. I think Carnival should hire me as a full time photographer to travel the world photographing their ships, island experiences, entertainment, and everything cruising. I could live the cruise lifestyle….. Any chance Carnival will call me????

Havana Bar Again
Here is another photo of the Havana Bar on the Carnival Vista. I loved this part of the ship. It had such a good vibe, great colors, warm feeling, and wonderful music. If you’ve checked out my blog in the past, you know MJ and I like Carnival cruises.

Havana Bar
This photo is a little moody, a little dark. But that’s the way this bar was designed….to set the mood. This is on the 5th deck at the stern of the Carnival Vista. It’s a great spot to relax and have a cocktail on an otherwise loud and busy ship.

On Carnival Vista
Sangrias
During our last trip through Fort Lauderdale Florida, MJ and I had lunch at this beach side restaurant and bar. To my surprise, they had an huge neon Yuengling inside the place. So getting a Yuengling was tempting, but I went with this extra large drink instead.

Breeze Bar
Tonight’s post is from our last trip on the Carnival Breeze. I loved the lobby area within the ship. Typical of my cruise ritual, I got up at 5am on a couple of days to photograph the ship when everyone else is asleep. That’s how I get these great photos without any crew or tourist in the way.

Carnival Breeze
Vista Casino Bar
Today’s blog post is of the Casino Bar within the Carnival Vista cruise ship. I took this photo while we were sailing around Greece. As you can probably guess, I took this photo at around 530am to avoid any other passengers getting in the way of the photo. Cool architecture inside a large ship…at least that’s my opinion.
