Hungarian Parliament
Budapest is a wonderful city. It is at the top of my list of places I’d like to revisit. Here is a series of drone photos of the Parliament Building and the Buda Castle that sit along the Danube River.
UFO Tower
Below is a photo series of the UFO Tower on top of the SNP Bridge in Bratislava Slovakia. This unique UFO structure is an elevated restaurant and observation tower on the south side of the Danube River. I loved this spot and this city…thus I took a ton of drone photos.
Bonaire Salt Flats
It’s been a minute since our last trip to Bonaire… I took this series of photos from the southeastern coast of the country with my drone. It is common to have lots of wind in Bonaire and this day was very windy. My drone didn’t love it
Iceland Glacier Watershed
MJ and I traveled 30 minutes down a gravel road to see a glacier lagoon in this northwest area of Iceland only to find out climate change had eliminated it. The glacier has retreated up the mountain, but the runoff from the melting glacier continues to feed this area, which makes for interesting photos.
Mexican Resort and Sunrise

Iceland Glacier Lake
During our 2021 Iceland trip, I went off by myself one night to go find this hidden glacier bay. I traveled a long distance down a path (calling it a road gives it too much credit…calling it a off road trail or path is probably more accurate).
Once I got to the end, I climbed a large hill to find the glacier lake and glacier coming down the mountain. From the front of the lake, I flew the drone over a mile to get to the start of the glacier and captured this photo looking straight down.
Cayman or Aruba
I can’t remember where I took this photo. I think it is from Grand Cayman, but I’m not 100% sure. It could have been Aruba. As you’ve guessed, I took this with my drone.
Jamaica Glory
Here is a drone photo I took a couple of years ago while the Carnival Glory was docked in Jamaica. I love the color of the Caribbean Sea.
Cloud Covered Pittsburgh
How was your week? I’m glad the work week is over…. Happy thoughts the rest of the weekend is my only goal. This photo represents a past happy moment when Blair and I were hanging out at the Point State Park taking photos and just talking. If you look close, we’re the two people in front of the fountain.
Playa Resort
I don’t know the name of this resort, but I loved the design. I took this via the drone at sunrise which provided the warm glow and deep shadows. Maybe someday I’ll stay at this location????
Playa Vibes
We had an amazing time in Playa del Carmen and I’m ready to go back right now. Here is a short video from our time there.
Sunrise Yoga
During our last trip to Mexico, the resort held a yoga session on the beach at sunrise each morning. I didn’t participate, but the yoga group helped provide an area of interest in this high angle drone photos so that it was an empty beach.
Elements Pool

Grafarkirkja Iceland
It’s hard to believe it has been approximating 6-month since MJ and I went to Iceland. In the COVID world, everything that happened recently seem like it happened 10 years ago. Or is it just me?
Anyway, here is another photo from norther Iceland. This is the oldest church in Iceland, and I loved it. Small, simple, and beautiful.

For Thanksgiving this year, I’m grateful for my family (by blood, marriage and great friends who I consider family…you know who you are) and this year’s experiences.
