Intensity

For Sunday night, I have a flashback football photo that I took last season.  I captured this when the Ravens were in Pittsburgh.  This shot of Robert Griffin III (RG3) demonstrates his intensity.  You have to wonder what his career would have been like if the Redskins had managed him and his injury correctly.  Potentially Hall of Famer but that was then, now he’ll never be viewed in that light.  If you think about it, he was the Patrick Mahomes before Patrick Mahomes.  Ruined potential.

Russell Wilson

It was a nice weather day at the stadium today.  The home crowd didn’t get the win they wanted, but the game was entertaining.  This was my first time covering the Seahawks.  It was fun seeing them up close and watching Russell Wilson ( @dangerusswilson ) do his thing.

Mt. Washington View

Like many photos, this one was sitting on my hard drive waiting for its moment to shine.  Well, now is the time for this pic.  I took this a few months ago on a very cold morning.  I was hoping for a great sunrise and didn’t get one.  But I got a great photo of the Point State Park while it was underwater.

Red #3

I took this photo of the green on Red #3 a few weeks ago before it was taken out.  The Valley Brook Country Club is removing it to add more parking.  They requested a few photos of this spot and a couple of holes before they are gone.  Beautiful spot, don’t you think?

Cell Block 3 – Hospital Department

In 1880, Eastern State Penitentiary’s Cell Block 3 was converted into the “Hospital Department” for the prison which included about 20 cells.  They tried to take care of all injuries and illness here to avoid transporting an inmate to a local hospital.  They had different types of physicians rotate through Cell Block 3 to perform a number of different surgeries, procedures and services.  Can you imagine having surgery in this environment???  You can see a picture of the surgery room below.  Cell Block 3 was in use for this purpose until the prison closed in 1970.

By The Way, I appreciate everyone who faithfully views the blog.  I know you have many competing and important things in your life.  So the fact you take some time to read by little blog doesn’t go unnoticed by me.  Thanks.
