Two Sides of Joe Haden

I didn’t go to the Steelers vs. Titans game today.  I’ve been dealing with a cold for two weeks, so I skipped it.  It didn’t seem like a smart idea to sit outside for 6 hours in the near freezing temperature while I’m fighting this small illness.  I’ve made good use of the extra time and have been editing NFL photos much of the day.

Here is an unusual edit from a photo I took of Joe Haden during the Steelers-Bears game about a month ago.

Tye

It seems hard to believe we’re entering the 4th week of the NFL season already.  Other than a good win against the Patriots, it doesn’t look like it will be a good season for my Lions.  But that’s nothing new.  It also doesn’t look to good for the Steelers based on their start of the season.   On the other hand, the Titans have gotten off to a good start.  Today’s photo is of Tye Smith, who is a cornerback for them in his 3rd season.  He played college at Towson College and was selected in the 5th round by Seattle in 2015 (170th selection)

Mike Mitchell

I’m not sure the status of Mike at this point.  I think the Steelers released him in March to avoid his salary cap hit with their roster.  So, I think he is currently a free agent…. I haven’t heard of him signing with another team, but I couldn’t find anything about him.  During pre-game, when the Steelers would announce the defensive player, he would always wear a Terrible Towel over this face like this.  It was sort of his trademark.

Ajayi

Here is something a little different for your viewing pleasure.  Normally the football photos I share with you are the full story.  Meaning, I normally share the photos where you can tell what exactly is going on, who is making the play, where they are on the field, etc…   basically the photo can tell the story by itself.  But I also capture lots of photos like this one…. close up shots.  You can’t really tell what’s going on, but the detail can be great as well.  So here is a close up of the Miami Dolphins’ running back Jay Ajayi (#23) as he tries to get away from a Steelers defender.
